Colonial Properties Trust is a diversified real estate investment trust (REIT) that, through its subsidiaries, owns a portfolio of multifamily, office and retail properties where you live, work and shop in the Sunbelt region of the United States. A self-administered, self-managed REIT, Colonial Properties performs development, acquisition, management, leasing and brokerage services for its portfolio and properties owned by third parties. In addition to multifamily, office, and retail operating divisions, we have a fourth division responsible for the development of mixed-use properties.

Originally founded in 1970, and headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama, Colonial Properties Trust completed its initial public offering in September 1993. The Company, which is included in the S&P SmallCap 600 Index, is listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol "CLP" and has a current market capitalization of approximately $5 billion.

As of Sept. 30, the company owns or manages 48,100 apartment units, 20.2 million square feet of office space and 13.6 million square feet of retail shopping space.
